SCHOOL NEEDS
• Paying school fees does not mean that no money will be asked from the parents.
• Parents will be asked to contribute money for fund raising, school projects, school facilities and for educational tours.
• When there is a need for donations, the school will send letters to parents, for such.
SCHOOL FUNDS
• School fees are compulsory and must be paid every term or in advance.
• At present the school fees are R200-00 per year per child’
• Fees will be paid at R50-00 per term and must be paid at the beginning of each term
• Computer money: Registration fees R44-40,
And every month R14-00, from January- November
R154-00 for the year.
THE SCHOOL GOVERNING BODY
• This body contains all executive power s of the school.
• This committee works with the school Principal and it helps in the formulation of the school policy and regulations.
• It controls all the fund-raising efforts including school funds and implements decisions regarding school facilities.
• Please support the SGB by getting involved in school functions.
• The quality of education in our school depends on the degree of involvement of parents.
VISITS TO THE SCHOOL
• Parents who wish to discuss the learner’s progress with the teachers or who bring complaints to the school must first obtain permission from the Principal.
• NB pupils often tell stories about teachers at home. If you promise not to believe all the stories, teachers promise not to believe the stories pupil tell them about you and what happens at home.
ENVIROMENTAL PROGRAMS
• To make learners aware of the environmental factors, the school runs different environmental projects. Parents are asked to help so that the project becomes successful.
• All stakeholders who believe that all people are unique, capable, valuable and responsible and who treat others with respect, empathy and dignity.
• All teachers at Letsatsing are employed to realise out philosophy of education, hence the school motto is “ ICH DIEN,” meaning “I SERVE.”
• Although teachers are dedicated to meeting standards as lay down in the schools mission statement i.e. “to provide excellent and relevant education to the learners, they rely heavenly on the support and assistance of parents of these learners. Parents are asked to render services, which will facilitate teaching- learning activities.
